Shai Zurim
Currently earning his MFA at New York’s School of Visual Arts, Zurim uses multiple media to convey a sense of order in a chaotic, uncertain world. Zurim is a two-time Bezalel graduate, awarded his BFA in 1999 and an Advanced Studies degree in 2003. Since then he has presented several solo shows in Tel Aviv and participated in numerous group exhibitions in both Tel Aviv and New York. Zurim’s bold, cartoon-style drawings and intricate sculptures—which often feature an unrelated assortment of everyday objects—display a humor and playfulness that characterize most of Zurim’s work.
