Nahum Tevet
Born on a kibbutz, Nahum moved to Tel Aviv in his early thirties. Robert Rauschenberg ‘discovered’ Tevet soon thereafter and encouraged him to move to New York. Nahum is the founder and head of the Bezalel MFA program in Tel Aviv—Bezalel’s flagship post-graduate program. Today the program is in great demand, and many of Bezalel’s MFA graduates have gone on to wide acclaim.

Sculptor, teacher, and mentor, Tevet received the Lifetime Achievement Award from the Ministry of Science and Culture and Sport, Israel Council of Culture and Art. His work is currently on view at the Museo D’arte Rome.
