Yehudit Sasportas
An Ashdod native, Sasportas earned both her BA and MFA degrees from the Bezalel Academy. Sasportas’ sophisticated, complex works—often a mixture of drawing, painting, sculpture, and architecture—have earned her numerous honors, including participation in the prestigious 2007 Biennale in Venice. A July 2007 Time Out article describes the magic that Sasportas’ Venice installation worked upon viewers: “…Sasportas successfully creates her own rich language…This exhibition leaves an aftertaste which continues to reveal flavors of berries, and exposes new layers, long after one leaves the exhibition space." Sasportas lives and works in Tel Aviv.
