Shirley Kanyon
Currently living and working the upper Galilee, painter Shirley Kanyon specializes in documenting changes in her surroundings as well as the varying perception of those changes. Kanyon graduated from Bezalel’s Fine Arts department in 1999, and has since presented solo exhibitions and participated in various group exhibitions in Israel. A two-time recipient of the Ministry of Culture’s "artist-teacher" grant, Kanyon paints outdoors on a daily basis and sporadically weaves her schooling in Japanese calligraphy into her works.
