Sharona Eliassaf
Born in Israel, painter and 2004 Bezalel graduate Sharona Eliassaf currently lives and works in New York City. Eliassaf’s fantastical paintings alternately depict color-studded dreamscapes, chimerical phenomena, and images of haunting humanity. Eliassaf’s awards and prizes include the 2003 Jack, Joseph, and Morton Mandel foundation endowment fund and the 2004 Sharet foundation scholarship award for painting. The artist has had numerous exhibitions in Tel Aviv and New York, including her December 2007 presentation, 'A night of 1000 drawings' at the Artists Space in New York.
