Before she came to the Bezalel Academy in 1995, Canadian artist Melanie Daniel pursued her studies in Kelowna, British Columbia as well as in Italy, Vancouver, and Montreal. Daniel was awarded the Sharett America-Israel Cultural Foundation Prize twice—in 2001 and again in 2006—and received the Smith Academic Excellence Scholarship in 2006 to pursue studies at Hebrew University. Daniel was featured March 26 through April 6, 2008 at the INGA Gallery in Sarit Shapira’s presentation of Emerging Israeli Artists.
