Daniel Bauer
A Long Island native, Daniel Bauer moved to Israel as a teenager to live on a kibbutz. Bauer studied history and political science at Hebrew University until 1993, then continued his studies at Bezalel Academy, where he received a BFA in photography. Moving on to New York’s Columbia University, Bauer earned an MFA in photography in 2006. Soon afterward he returned to Bezalel Academy to join our distinguished faculty. In September 2008, Bauer will become a tenured faculty member at the Art Institute of Chicago.
Bauer’s solo show, “The Combination of Limits,” recently made waves at the Andrea Meislin Gallery.
